Daddy Yankee was born en Las Lomas, Rio piedras and his first friends he made was en a place called Villa Espana. He says the first time they paid him to sing was in Viila Espana and payed him 50 dollars which he bought some nike shoes and told his friend to borrow 40 dollars so then he could buy Jordan's shoes. Daddy Yankee always visits his people when he has time and everybody receives him with respect. The year 2005 was one of the best years for Daddy Yankee because he got his CD en gold and platinum edition, sold more the 1 millions copies of his album , and won a Grammy. Thanks to his CD Barrio Fino his songs went international and became one of the most famous reggaeton artist. He is still breaking records for his massive success. Before his mayor success in reggaeton he was hanging out with the wrong people at the wrong time and got shot in one of his legs that's when he decided to change his life for him and his family and decided to become a great artist. He started making albums in 1994 his frist CD was called No Mercy, second album was El Yankee 2, third album El Cangri.com, and his fourth album Homerumes. Now everybody around the world listen to his music and also lots of artist like Pharrel Williams, Will Smith, Snoop Dog y P.Diddy enjoy his music and talent.
